John was a founding father of Didcot Cricket Club, its first chairman and virtually a one man junior section for more than a decade. John’s passion/obsession in life was to give young people in Didcot the opportunity to play cricket, something that was not offered by schools or any club during the 1970s. Without doubt this Didcot Cricket Club would not exist without 20 years of dedication from John.
